Liver Function Test

Sometimes called a liver panel. A series of measurements from your blood draw that check the general health of your liver. Test measurements include Albumin, total protein, ALP, ALT, AST enzymes, bilirubin, Lactate dehydrogenase (LD), and Prothrombin time which is involved in blood clotting.

This test is often part of an annual physical and may also be ordered to help diagnose or monitor a liver disease. Symptoms of a liver disease may include: jaundice, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dark urine, light stool, and/or fatigue.
